Do you need help creating a rehabilitation plan?
You can get a work coach to assist you if you need support in planning rehabilitation. The work coach helps you consider work tasks and professions suitable for your health. The work coach is familiar with the job market and educational opportunities in your area. They monitor and support the implementation of your rehabilitation and act as your contact with Elo. If work coaching does not lead to rehabilitation or employment, the work coach will guide you to other services.
How do I get a work coach?
- Once you have received a positive preliminary decision on vocational rehabilitation, you can request a work coach for yourself in our Online Service under the Rehabilitation section in the Rehabilitation plan.
- Work coaches work in our partner companies. An expert on work ability from Elon will contact you if necessary before ordering a work coach.
- We will provide the work coach with basic information about you, such as your contact details.
- The work coach will contact you within two weeks.
How is work coaching implemented?
Meetings with the work coach can be face-to-face, by phone, or via video calls. The number of meetings is individual. You can influence the success of vocational rehabilitation with your own activity and commitment.
Is visiting a work coach free of charge?
Visiting a work coach is free of charge for you. You can apply for travel reimbursement for visits to the work coach through our Online Service. The payment of the rehabilitation allowance begins when the rehabilitation, such as a work trial or training, starts.
What do you do with a work coach?
1. You assess your background and situation
2. You plan how to continue working or return to the workforce
- The planning takes into account your education, work experience, remaining work capacity, and employment opportunities after the planned rehabilitation.
- Workplace rehabilitation, such as work trials and work coaching, are primary methods in the planning.
3. The work coach presents the plan to Elo
- Elo evaluates the plan individually.
- When the work coach informs you that Elo has approved the plan, fill out the plan application in our Online Service. You will receive a written decision on the plan.
4. You start the rehabilitation
a) If you enter workplace rehabilitation, the work coach supports you throughout the process.
b) If you start studying, the work coach supports you at the beginning of your studies.
c) The work coach can also support you in starting or continuing as an entrepreneur.
